Does my dinghy policy cover my boat while it is in transit?Views: 4557 This answer is rated 3 / 5

All our fully comprehensive policies cover accidental damage for boats up to 9 metres in length while in transit, within the cruising range specified on your policy.

If the boat or trailer were to cause damage to a third party while it was being towed behind a motor vehicle, then any damage to the third party would NOT be covered under your policy.

In most cases the third party liability while in transit would be covered under your motor insurance policy, however this should be checked before you travel.
