Plymouth Yacht Haven is located on the historic Mount Batten peninsula. From 1917 until recently, Mount Batten was in the hands of the RAF, gaining worldwide fame during the Second World War as a base for flying boats.
Located in Clovelly Bay, at the mouth of the Cattewater, the marina is sheltered from the prevailing south westerly winds yet is only minutes from one of England's finest natural harbours, Plymouth Sound. From here the choice is yours, a day's sailing to Salcombe, Fowey, Torquay or Dartmouth; a longer passage taking in Falmouth, Penzance and on to the Isles of Scilly; the Channel Islands or to the north and west coast of France. Deep water throughout the marina allows freedom at all states of tide. In rough weather, Plymouth Sound and local rivers allow for hours of sheltered scenic sailing.
