Arden Sailing Club is an R.Y.A. Training Centre and has good training resources and lots of experience at helping newcomers into the sport. Some people prefer to join one of the Club's regular sailing courses; others simply turn up at the Club and rely on the help and guidance which members readily give. Safety is the most important consideration and members quickly get to learn the safest way to proceed.

Do I need a boat ?
Not necessarily. The Club has a small fleet of sailing dinghies that are available for members to use at nominal cost. Also, there are opportunities to crew for existing club members. The Club is pleased to accept any class of boat up to 14ft, The most popular boats currently are Enterprises, Comets, Solos, G.P.14s, Graduates and Mirrors. Some of these boats can be picked up surprisingly cheaply - for as little as 200.00 to 300.00. though some work may need to be done on them.

Dinghy Racing?
A programme of 'class' and 'handicap' races is provided, chiefly on Sundays, throughout the season, and the Club has some very good helmsmen to compete against. Inter-club events are arranged each year and the Club takes part in the Saundersfoot Sailing Club's Regatta in the week following the Spring Bank Holiday.
