Craven Sailing Club is based at Embsay Reservoir, near Skipton in North Yorkshire.
The 27 acres of water is not a big area but it provides demanding but enjoyable racing and a great environment for learning to sail.
The club welcomes sailors of all ages and abilities, expert or beginner, and has a wide variety of dinghies in the fleet, single and double handers, trapeze and assymetric together with a number of windsurfers.
There are plenty of opportunities to race in the handicap fleet on Tuesdays and Sundays (see ‘Events’) There is no class racing. The rest of the time the water is available for general sailing activities There are both organised and informal family fun events from time to time.
The heated Clubhouse provides essential on site amenities including changing rooms, showers and kitchen.
