The Allhallows Yacht Club came into being in June 1962, when a group of 17 people met at Crayford, Kent, to consider the formation of a boating club at Allhallows-on-Sea.
The Strood Rural Council, as it was then, offered a small area at the extremity of the Holiday Estate, which conveniently had a break in the Sea wall - no more than a reinforced grass bank at the time.
Today Allhallows Yacht Club has a large boating compound and an extensive clubhouse with full facilities, two launching ramps and a modern electronically equipped control tower. The Club, by its nature, is very much a family club and we are always pleased to offer a warm and friendly welcome to any visitors.
The AYC facilities include safe storage for water craft and launch vehicles, two launching ramps, winches, a well-stocked bar and an entertainment area.
To compliment the excellent bar, there is a kitchen offering refreshments throughout the season.
Entrance to the Club compound is through a security controlled caravan site. There is also a resident caretaker and a CCTV system for added security. |
